Vitamin B-12 is called either cobalamin or cyanocobalamin, and is synthesized by bacteria. It performs many important functions in the body, and exists in most animal foods. Vegetarians and vegans should take B-12 supplements or eat fortified breakfast cereals, which are a valuable source of this vitamin. Hydrochloric acid releases B-12 from food, at which point the vitamin can be absorbed by the body.

Other ingredients: Dicalcium phosphate, modified cellulose, vegetable stearin, cellulose gum, magnesium stearate and silica.

Contains NO sugar, salt, dairy, yeast, wheat, gluten, corn, soy, preservatives, artificial colors or flavors.


Recommended dose is 200-2500 micrograms twice daily (water soluble vitamins should be taken twice daily).


There are no side effects or precautions with this vitamin other than taking too much of one B vitamin can result in an imbalance of another B vitamin.
