Vitamin B-9 has many functions in the body but is especially important for energy production and the immune system. Part of the B-9 you need is made in your intestine, while the rest can be found in food or supplements. The synthetic form of B-9 is folic acid; the natural form found in food is called folate.

Folic acid 800 mcg, Vitamin B-12 25 mcg.

Other ingredients: Dicalcium phosphate, cellulose, vegetable stearin, cellulose gum, magnesium stearate and silica.

Contains NO sugar, salt, dairy, yeast, wheat, gluten, corn, soy, preservatives, artificial colors or flavors.

Take 200mg twice a day. Higher doses may be taken under the direction of your physician.

Large doses can cause GI problems, irritability and give you trouble sleeping. Higher dosages also mask a B-12 deficiency. Do not take folic acid if you are taking phenytoin or other anticonvulsants without consulting your doctor.
